Thursday

Well - sorry not posted much this week....last time I wrote I was off Sloe picking....and thought I would show you the result...14 bottles of yummy Sloe Gin working its magic which will be ready for tasting next xmas...yes I did say next xmas - best kept for a year, turning it throughout the year....well worth it....But don't panic...I still have supplies left over from my "crop" from last year...on a roll....

Each Sloe berry had to be "pricked" to release all the yummy into the gin...think I did about a million....felt like it....Hard to see my awful  fingers - all stained...and the nettle stings I suffered...but done now for another year...

So thought I would share it over with Sassy Cheryl's - show me Thursday...
Thanks for popping by

  2. Ouch! I bet it did feel like a million to fill those containers! WOW!
This is really cool. Is there a reason that they are stored in 'dark' jars? Just wondering.
Thanks for sharing this week in the Sassy Cheryl's SMThursday fun!

  3. For all this hard work, I'd definitely be rationing this stuff out. I didn't realize there was a Sloe berry.
