Happy wet Sunday...why does it always rain on a weekend?

Went shopping with my girls the other day to Metro Centre on our hottest day of the year so far.........such a loooooong day - having drained my purse dry...I arrived home at 9:45 pm!!!!!! blimey - glad I don't do it often!...nice day though so tied.....

Todays card is a Guss card from Bugaboo...this is a card not to give to someone that is of a great age - but for someone around the 50ish mark so as not to cause offense!

I am so behind with all my crafty bits - but I am catching up with the "stitched" look - love it...just need to find more time to craft

 Coloured in with Copics and glossed his spec's

Tense in our household at the moment with Emilys A level exams and Rebecca waiting to see if she has passed her 3rd yr at Uni and then only 1 more yr to go....

Mo Manning birthday pc card

Oh Thursday - nearly Friday....working from home tomorrow so don't need to get dressed up - nice and then tomorrow night off to stability ball class again - why do I put myself through it - if I fall off again I am NEVER going again.....
Onto todays card...love this image - coloured many many times.....mad this for my nephews 18th - he loved it.

Coloured in with Copics added some gloss here and there and got in the glitter on the 18th...easiest way to seal in sprinkled glitter is to glossy accent the item first - in this case a pre cut out wooden 18th - then sprinkle with glitter - seals it beautifully and the glitter stays put!

Male cards

Morning

I was asked to make these cards - really like them and nice and easy - sorry pic not better...

With the added touch of silk tie and handkerchief  - wow that looks wrong written down.....to you and me hankie.......- think they make really nice male cards.

Had a lovely birthday on Saturday - went shopping and then went to see my mum and dad - and actually had a chill out weekend.....going to have another hopefully this Mothering Sunday.....and then next weekend for my birthday present off for a long weekend to Budapest.....never been before - but fancy doing some city breaks...so off on the Thurs night -back late Monday - fab - looking forward to a nice relaxing drinking eating site seeing spending weekend!....got to get through this week and next first though!.

Well its a miracle - I can see after my laser eye surgery - wow - its brilliant, though I do keep going to push my glasses on my nose....weired feeling...still dry...but no pain...fabbbbbbb.

Well great weather we are having - not...blimey I choose my time well to take leave!.

 

Today's card is a fab new Mo Manning image recently purchased...love it

#110- Not for the girls

Oh its Friday - at long last...Well I feel slightly less stressed. I have put in my application form for my own job...so will wait on that...handed in my assignment...wait for the results of that...finished my 2 wedding cakes....so phew....will wait to see what things happen next week...win the lottery????...now that would be nice!!!!..

Anyway - another challenge is here over at Totally Papercrafts and this week it is NOT FOR THE GIRLS - bit sexist...but hey ho....I chose to do a fab Mo Manning image....doing a barbie is such a man thing...they will not let a woman set it...cook on it...and always have to have a beer when doing one!...though that is lighter fluid on the floor not a beer!

Paper pieced his shirt, coloured in with Copics...no glitter, just a little splodge of glossy accents.

I know I know.....I have been gone ages - please forgive me - work and my life were getting in the way...back now - not left you......
While I have been away it was my birthday and Bex's 18th along with lots of other things....can't believe she leaves home this year for Uni - she wants to study law - touchwood she gets the grades....
Today as it's Friday - thank goodness - is another challenge over at Totally Papercrafts - and this week was my turn to choose - I chose "Male Card" - simple or what...
My card is using a fab Mo Manning image - love it - so my nephew....

Morning - back to work today - went to the Lake District last week for October half term - fantastic - as always - time....weather really good - got some great walks in...will show some pic's soon.....and my house is still standing - Bex - eldest - stayed at home...and with my car!....

Today's card made for my nephews birthday is a fabby Mo Manning image....went onto her site again the other day - got another wish list going - if you have not seen her images before - which I find hard to believe - link on my side bar....

Coloured in with Copics and added a bit of glossy accents - no glitter though - unusual for me I know - but it is for a boy!

Hi there - wow has it been windy or what......dare not hang out my washing as it will end up miles away...dry but miles away...

Did this card for a great mate of mine at work who wanted it for a Elvis fan's birthday - hope its ok Mark!...

Did an Easel card and added some rhinestone Elvis bling to it....Glossed his glasses and guitar, and of course added a touch of glitter.........

In Leeds most of the day working , and then down with Emily at the training track - so I wander around Salisbury's - always there I could get a job as a plain clothes security guard.....

Hope someone out there who knows me won the Euro millions and decides to give me loads....hugs to you if it is you..

I am back to work and it is not a good feeling - can't remember what I did or where I kept any pieces of data - head all full of nothing...aaaahhhhhh...gonna be such a long week I know it....

Lifted up this chappies tie and feet - though camera skills have gone out of the window again...aaaahhhhh....sorry...used a MS punch for the Happy Birthday

Morning Morning Morning - middle of the week - not long till the weekend.......

Doing a male card today - love this image - I can remember he is called Rocking George and that's all - I have had him forever...so dusted him down - even though he is a digi and gave him another viewing...

Added some glossy accents to "Elvis's" glasses and guitar and stickled his flares and shoes - bling is required here I think

Morning ...firstly - sorry that I have been terrible on my commenting recently - I have not had time to sit down...so sorry to you all - will try harder - promise!

Wow - what glorious weather we had over the weekend - gardened all day Saturday and then watching Emily running and it made a nice change for the weather to be nice....bronze and silver - so she was really chuffed...(that means happy)...but ouch...the sun was out and my legs look like the inside of a water melon...and that was just from wandering around the track!....I have a lovely sandal mark on my foot...classy - not!....

Love this card...This week - cards will be a bit thin on the ground as I do not have a great deal of "me time".....Bex is also started to learn to drive - took her out for the first time on Sat...she is actually not bad - better than I ever was at her age......though she thinks once she passes her test...my car will then be "our" (as in mine and hers) car....ummmm sorry - that is not the case.....she may "borrow"...

Busy weekend.....Em running in Birmingham tomorrow...all the way to Birmingham for 60m...yes 60m....It is the UK under 15's championships...you had to have a qualifying time to enter...she had one for the 60 and 200, but the 200 is on Sunday and she did not want to go down for the weekend....so fingers crossed...just want a good time...I get more nervous than her.....and then on Sunday finishing Bex's birthday cake she is 17 on Monday...and it is a training day at school so she is off...and OMG she can start to drive...so hubby is taking her out for the first time....I have to work, so will fret until she gets home.....
Last exam today...phew...

Ohhhhhh ...awake.....been up most of the night - think I have eaten something...got part 1 of an NVQ exam today - great...will be asleep soon....aaaahhhh
Nearly Friday folks - hang in there......Bex is home on Sat - got an email saying she is home...aaahhh, she phones everyday which is great - she is having a great time - doing  work experience in Belgium for a week - loving it, and the chocolate...and yes - de-grotted her room - smells nice and fresh now - even bought her new bedding!
On to today's card.....................Love this Gus image from Bugaboo...entered it for the catch a bug challenge.
 Liquid pearls on his bit of hair I think look fab, and glossy accent on his spec's and beach ball

Tried to make him a little happier by adding a bit of colour to his face...fab hairy legs!...
Finished cleaning Bex's room for when she gets home...she is a secret eater...going to stop buying Nutella...she takes the whole jar and just spoon feeds herself on a night...hence I keep finding empty jars in her room...disgusting child!...love her though...

Morning - Good day today as off for some spa treatments today with my two sisters...It was my little sisters 40th the other day so treating her...so of course I had to go too!!! Going over to the Feversham Arms fairly near to where I live...relaxation here I come...and then tomorrow - taken the day off and off to Harrogate for  a "Ladies who Lunch day" with them both - nice......need it...

Today's card is a fab Bugaboo image....makes me smile each time I do this card....

He is such a glum old man...but looks like he does not care....fab...

Well survived Monday....
Tuesdays card is a fab Dustin Pike image - use this sooo much and never get tired of it.
Reminds me of my dad....Coloured in with copics and gave the water and fish a hint of stickles for that added glitter look.

Glossed the waders to try and look like they are waterproof..

Happy New Year

Morning...and Happy New Year...first posting of the Year after a nice break...but back to regular postings now....
Hope you all had a fab Xmas and New Year....sooooo busy in our household...you try to cram as much in as possible you end up shattered...but a good shattered...
Took down tree yesterday so then had a mass clean.....felt good though.
