Morning - another Icing project - Orchid

Morning - Happy Mothers Day to you all...Raining and cold today - so after a dog walk I think I am going to have a crafting day - well along with cleaning, ironing etc....
Today I wanted to show you my latest icing project... I made these orchids out of icing for a present for my sister to cheer her up....

What do you think?
Getting to love icing - love my hobbies - just wish there was more time in the day to do them - work sooooo gets in the inconsiderate.

As a first time doing this flower - don't think it is too bad...Going to tackle a Peony next I think...though on with 2 cakes at the moment....a Leeds Rhino's and Gardening cake...I will share later when finished.

Entered into Sassy Cheryls - Show me Thursday...
Have a fabby day - relax and enjoy

  1. Wowwwwwww orchids you can eat??????? LOVE THE IDEA!

    Christine x

  2. Sarah you have really found your forte, cakes and icing. Have you ever thought about selling these at a craft fair. I bet with a portfolio of your work and a few examples you could get commissions. Then no more Monday morning slogs to work. (The work would be hard but probably more enjoyable). :-) xx

  3. OMG, Sarah.
Can't believe that these are icing. Icing... really?? They are STUNNING.

  4. I always forget that everyone celebrates Mother's Day at different times of the year around the world. So. . .HAPPY BELATED Mother's Day Sarah. The flowers are just gorgeous. They look SO real!!!! And until I read the post, I thought they were. You have an amazing talent!
Thanks for playing along in the Sassy Cheryl's SMThursday fun this week.

  5. Sarah, these are amazing and way beyond not to bad for a first try. They look so real. I can't imagine the patience it takes to make them and am looking forward to the peonies and the cakes.
