Morning - another Icing project - Orchid

Morning - Happy Mothers Day to you all...Raining and cold today - so after a dog walk I think I am going to have a crafting day - well along with cleaning, ironing etc....
Today I wanted to show you my latest icing project... I made these orchids out of icing for a present for my sister to cheer her up....

What do you think?
Getting to love icing - love my hobbies - just wish there was more time in the day to do them - work sooooo gets in the way...how inconsiderate.

As a first time doing this flower - don't think it is too bad...Going to tackle a Peony next I think...though on with 2 cakes at the moment....a Leeds Rhino's and Gardening cake...I will share later when finished.

Entered into Sassy Cheryls - Show me Thursday...
Have a fabby day - relax and enjoy

  2. Sarah you have really found your forte, cakes and icing. Have you ever thought about selling these at a craft fair. I bet with a portfolio of your work and a few examples you could get commissions. Then no more Monday morning slogs to work. (The work would be hard but probably more enjoyable). :-) xx

  5. Sarah, these are amazing and way beyond not to bad for a first try. They look so real. I can't imagine the patience it takes to make them and am looking forward to the peonies and the cakes.
